About Me
Kimbrely Dandridge, Myrlie Evers Williams, and Myself
Myself (R) with Kimbrely Dandridge (L)
and Myrlie Evers-Williams.

I was raised in a little spot on the road between Bruce and Pontotoc named Sarepta, MS. Apparently, the name is from the Bible (Luke 4:26 KJV) and I guess the settlers in the mid-1800's thought it was a good name. I attended the Bruce school system from 1-10th grades (Go Trojans!) before being accepted to the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science (Go Blue Waves!).

After high school, I attended THE University of Mississippi (Go Rebs!) for my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. I'm currently applying to Ph.D. programs in communications and plan to research the role that media, specifically social media, plays in conflict situations and political activism.

I also work full-time for the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies as the Coordinator of Operations.
