6 egg yolks
6 egg whites
1/2 c. lime juice
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. condensed milk
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1. Beat egg yolks; blend in milk.
2. Add slowly lime juice and mix well.
3. Add cream of tartar to egg whites and beat till foamy.
4. Continue to add sugar 1 T. at a time until eggs peak.
5. Fold 6 T. of meringe into filling mixture.
6. Pour into 9-in. baked pie shell.
7. Top with remaining meringue.
8. Bake until golden (12-15 minutes at 350F).
