I am a retired teacher who taught special education for twenty years and middle school Latin for seventeen years. My husband, David Warren Steel, is a retired professor of music and southern culture at the University of Mississippi. We both enjoy Sacred Harp singing. I have two sons. Nate is a software application specialist in the Detroit area; he has three sons, Charlie, Cameron and Lachlan. Sam is a physician in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
