Japanese Fruit Cake

1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. sweet milk
3 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. cloves
1/2 t. allspice
2 t. grated orange and lemon rinds
1 c. raisins
1 c. dates
1 c. pecans

1. Cream margarine and sugar.

2. Add eggs, one at a time.

3. Sift flour and spices, and add with milk.

4. Add raisins, dates, nuts, and lemon/orange rinds.

5. Bake in greased pan at 350.

Filling:
1 stick oleo
2 c. sugar
4 T. flour
milk from a coconut
juice from 3 oranges
grated orange rinds

1. Cook until thick

2. Remove from heat and add grated coconut.
