Caramel Pound Cake

2 sticks oleo, softened 1 c. shortening
1 lb.dark brown sugar 1 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour 1 c. milk
1/2 t. baking powder 5 eggs
1 t. vanilla 1 t. butter flavoring

1. Cream sugars, oleo, and shortening.
2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
3. Add baking powder to flour.
4. Alternate adding flour and milk to mixture.
5. Add vanilla and butter flavoring.
6. Pour in large greased, lightly floured tube pan.
7. Bake at 350F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Frosting

1 c. light brown sugar 1 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 stik oleo
1 t. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts

1. Mix well and bring to rolling boil.
2. Boil 1 minute.
3. Cool and add nuts.
4. Spread on cake.
