Teaching
- Fall 2003 I am teaching Discrete Math (Math 301) and Applied Modern Algebra (Math 302).
You can find course information, participate in discussions groups, and monitor your grades on the Blackboard system.
- If you're interested in seeing material from my previous teaching
as examples look here.
Research
- My current research is in structural graph theory. My doctoral dissertation, completed under the direction of
Dr. Xingxing Yu, addresses disjoint subgraphs and linkages in planar graphs, with an application to general graph minors. Here's a pdf copy of my thesis. Due to the size of that file, you may prefer to look at just the introductory sections, also in pdf.
- Curriculum Vitae
Publications
- Long Cycles in 3-Connected Graphs in Orientable Surfaces, with X. Yu,
Journal of Graph Theory 41: 69-84, 2002
preprint here in pdf or postscript format
- The Circumference of Graphs with no K(3,t) Minor, with G. Chen, X. Yu and W. Zang, in preparation

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is. (author unknown)
