This is a Web page (a courseware) for training fundamental microcomputer information technology to the novice users of the desktop computer. This material consists of three chapters - hardware, software and communications. Each of these sections provides basic knowledge to give fundamental background of desktop computers (personal computers or microcomputers) to the novice users. The contents of this courseware are written and produced by Daeryong Kim. He is a doctoral student majoring in Management Information Systems at the Business School of The University of Mississippi. He is writing his dissertation, and building up this material to do experiments for his dissertation.
The purpose of building the World Wide Web pages is to examine which type of version gives better output in terms of users' satisfaction and test scores. The courseware has SIX versions built through the manipulation of node sizes and link numbers. Although the node size and link number of each version are different, the six versions have exactly same contents and almost same shape. Each user is going to study whole contents with different version, then will have posttest and post training questionnaire.
The followings represent SIX different versions.
