Fan
Yang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Tsinghua
University, Beijing,
China, and the Ph.D.
degree from University of California,
Los Angles, all in electric engineering, in 1997, 1999, and 2002, respectively.
He is
an assistant professor in Electrical Engineering
Department of University of Mississippi.
Prior to join Univerisity of Mississippi, he was a research engineer in the
UCLA Antenna Laboratory. From September 2003 to June 2004, he was also a
lecturer in the UCLA Electrical Engineering Department. From 1999 to 2002, he
was a graduate student researcher in the Antenna Research, Applications, and
Measurement Laboratory, University of
California, Los
Angeles. He was a research assistant in the State Key
Laboratory of Microwave and Digital Communications, Tsinghua
University, China,
from 1994 to 1999.
His
research interests include microstrip antenna and reconfigurable antenna
designs, electromagnetic band gap structures, numerical methods in
electromagnetics, and antenna measurement techniques.
