Art Education is the "art" of showing others

how to view the world around them every day.

It is also the act of using one's eyes and hands to

explore each of the art media.

It should be the goal of every art educator to

lead others in an experience of art.  Though we can

become more visually literate if we view art,

we become richer more functional members of humankind

as we experience art.

Art educators need not be masters of

one medium; rather, they must be able to guide their

students as they explore many different art media,

obtaining the skills and knowledge needed to discover their

artistic niches in the art world more fully, and develop

their own individual talents.

Artists see life as a continual learning experience and

constantly strive to perfect and expand their own

individual talents.
