1, 1864, released to prison February 6, 1864. File contains 1915
inquiry from Texas Pension Commissioner.

Born Weakley County 1838. Enlisted May 1861 in the 9th Tennessee; at
its reorganization made Lieutenant. Wounded and lost right arm, 24
Sept 1864, at Athens. Returned home
in November of 1864. Living Weakley Co. TN in 1909. Married Fannie
McCain (McClain?) .
After war, became physician in Sidonia, TN.
Served in State Senate. Died ca. 1910.

15th Consolidated Cavalry, so his actual service was probably with
Stewart's/Logwood's 15th TN Cavalry rather than with Russell's
20th.

Donelson, TN, May 19, 1865; "signs by mark". File contains inquiry
from Tennessee Pension Examiner in 1915. These may be two separate individuals.

shows that Tennessee pension application #14685 was filed by W.W. Lee
of Henry County for service with the 20th Cavalry.
