Company E. Enlisted May 15, 1864 at Corinth, MS, by Capt. Hallum for 3 years. Absent on roll for May/June 1864, "sick and sent to hospital June 25, 1864."
The Index to Tennessee Confederate Pension Applications shows that Tennessee pension application #10963 was filed by L.N. Akens of Benton County for service with the 20th (Russell's) Cavalry.

Thomas Martin Adams
Company I. Enlisted May 1, 1864 at Jackson, TN, by Col. Russell for 3 years. "Absent without leave since May 23, 1864."
On report of absentees and deserters from 19th & 20th regiments, Verona MS, Feb. 28, 1865: "Residence: Weakley Co. Tenn, Probable whereabouts: Ralston Sta."
The Hollis diary records his enlistment May 8, 1864 while Co. I was in camp at Tupelo, MS. It also reports that on August 1, 1864 Capt. Hollis visited the Adams home, apparently to get TMA to return to the unit.
Born ca. 1836. Appears on the 1870 Census of Weakley Co. TN with wife Martha and four children.
Born July 8, 1836, in Halifax Co. VA, son of James Jr. and Susan Martin Adams. Married Martha T. Somers, September 15, 1862 in Weakley Co. TN. Died December 15, 1919 in Weakley Co. TN.

The Index to Tennessee Confederate Pension Applications shows that Tennessee pension application #4411 was filed by F.W.M. Adamson of Gibson County for service with the 19th & 20th Consolidated Cavalry.

Absent on roll for May/June 1864, "absent without leave since Apr. 27, 1864" and "left in West Tenn. by order of surgeon" with the latter apparently lined out.
