NOTE: You may experience trouble viewing these pages with Netscape. Internet Explorer will let you
view the Mathcad files. You should, however, be able to copy the Mathcad file to a disk.
- Interpolation: Many problems require numbers be interpolated in tables. Use
Mathcad for this.
- Regression: Use Mathcad for multivariable regression to
interpolate/extrapolated in tables.
- General Introduction to Mathcad: Includes many examples of using Mathcad to
solve thermo and other problems.
- Equation Breaks: Shows how to break long equations and write them on two or
three lines.
- Example 3.8: Calculation of vapor and liquid volumes from the R/K EOS
- Example 4.7: Adiabatic temperature change using the summation method
- Example 4.7: Adiabatic temperature change using the vector method
- Problem 6.53: Real gas enthalpy and entropy changes using the virial and the
R/K equations
- Example 10-4: Dewpoint and bubblepoint pressures using the DePriester charts
- VLE Data Reduction: Data for chloroform/1,4-dioxane discussed on p. 425, ff
- Problem 12.17: Calculation of dewpoint and bubblepoint pressures, P-T flash,
P-X-y and T-x-y diagrams for the acetone/water system using the NRTL
equation
- Example 13.9: SO2 oxidation reaction
- Problem 5, exam 1: Finding the work for a real fluid with Mathcad. The plot
may take a few seconds to appear because of the large amount of computations
involved.
