Office: Shoemaker 201, by appointment.

Hello, My name is Kevin Hall. I'm a junior biology/pre-med major from Tupelo, MS. My plans are to attend medical school and one day become a successful doctor. I believe the secret to success is by doing the common things, uncommonly well. I'm like a duck-- smooth and unruffled on the top, but paddling furiously underneath. Yes, I am a biology major!

Carey Beth Hayes
cbhayes1@olemiss.edu

I am a junior biology/pre-dental major from Huntsville, Alabama. After I graduate, I hope to go back to ÒSweet Home AlabamaÓ and attend UAB-dental school and specialize in either orthodontics or pediatric dentistry.

Elizabeth Holcombe
elizabethholcombe@hotmail.com

My name is Elizabeth Holcombe from Columbus, MS. I am a senior biology/biochemistry major. After graduation, I hope to attend medical school. I am most passionate about traveling. I love to see the diversity that this world offers.

Ryan Huber
rchuber@olemiss.edu

I am a sophomore Biology major from Franklin, TN. My current plan is to pursue medicine, ideally pediatrics or family care. I have a lot of other interests, however, so I'm constantly trying to figure out what to do with my life! I build websites as a hobby, including the undergraduate Biology lab sites.

Bill Maner
wcmaner@olemiss.edu

I am Bill Maner, a first year biology graduate student. My emphasis of study will be in microbiology. I hope some day to teach. I completed my undergraduate work at Mississippi College, where I got a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Modern Languages (Spanish). I grew up in Brazil and I like to surf and play sports. I am recently and happily married to a great girl (of course--she's my wife).

Kathy Nipper
kanipper@olemiss.edu

I received my BS in Biology from Mississippi State College for Women, Columbus, MS. (now MUW), and interned a year in Medical Technology at Druid City Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I came back to school and took 15 hours of education, etc. to get a Mississippi teacher's license in the mid-1980's, and taught high school biology and advanced biology for 10 years. I received my Master's in Natural Sciences from Delta State in 2002, and have just been admitted here at Ole Miss to a doctoral program. I have three children, ages 32, 28 and 26, all of whom are in some way involved with science as a profession. That's the closest I've ever come to batting a thousand!

Corey Nichols
cdnichol@hotmail.com
http://cdreb2.tripod.com

Hi. My name is Corey Nichols, and I am a senior biochemistry major from Carthage, MS. I am also minoring in biology and, hopefully, in Italian. I plan on attending medical school following graduation with hopes of becoming a pediatrician back in my hometown.

Bikash Rajkarnikar
brajkam@olemiss.edu
Office hours: 201, by appointment.

Hi everyone, I'm Bikash Rajkarnikar, a graduate student in biology. I hail from Nepal, the land of misty mountains, and have been at Olemiss for nearly a year now. My major research intrests lies in the fields of wetland and watershed management, ecology, and conservation biology. I believe in existing for oneself, and being able to do it with a strictly objective motive. I love reading(Rand, Poe, Dylan), music(Floyd, Zeppelin) and being out in the nature.

Misty Schaubhut
MistyMouseLS@aol.com
Office Hours: MWF 9-10/Thurs. 3-5 Rm. 513

I am a junior biology major. I hope someday to pursue a career in microbiology, either as a medical doctor or a Ph.D. I joined the Air National Guard four years ago; I wanted to serve my country and get a degree. I think it is important to make time to help others, so don't hesitate to stop by if you have a question.

Katie Winsett
kewinset@olemiss.edu

I am a biological sciences student from Memphis, TN. My areas of interest are botany and aquatic ecosystems; I don't have plans for any health-related professions. I hope to have a career in outdoor education, working with children and adults. My goal is to explore and study the natural world while at the same time exposing others to the aspects of nature that can't be taught in a classroom.
