Has PEER discussed whether it will investigate the changes to the
state employees health plan?
Since I sent you my first letter, we have learned that there is
probably another change in the plan which we were not told about in
time to make our elections concerning how much we would put in our
medical spending accounts.
We have received email from DFA stating that the November newsletter,
which isn't out yet, will announce that in addition to the other changes
a new and additional $50 deductible will be added for
prescription drugs. If we had had this information before we
had to make elections
on the medical spending account in the cafeteria plans, we could have
put another $50 per person in the plans. Now its too late to
do that.
DFA would not tell us when the next newsletter will be out
so we don't have much information about this new deductible.
