If you are looking for help in drawing on the power of statistics to support your research, turn for that help to the Statistical Consulting Center at the Department of Mathematics, University of Mississippi. At this center, we will help you design a survey to collect the information you need, and will do the computer work for you.

Here's what to expect

Visit the Statistical Consulting Center (Hume 326) before you design and write your survey. We will help focus your research and help develop an effective method for finding answers.
Please make an appointment first!!!
Based upon your discussion in the survey planning process and on the questions you want answered, we will design a series of computer programs to analyze your data.
You can discuss the results with the people at the consulting center.
Students get help from the statistics graduate students, reviewed by a faculty member.
Researchers get the help from a faculty member.

T TH 8 AM- 9.30 AM and 4 PM- 5PM.

To Consult a statistician after an experiment is finished is often merely to ask him to conduct a post-mortem examination. He can perhaps say what the experiment died of.
